Welcome to the Sports Massage Level 4 course!
Coursework
As part of this qualification, you are required to produce a portfolio of evidence. The portfolio will confirm the knowledge, understanding and skills that you have learnt. It may be in an electronic or paper format.
It will include
One written assignment: Treatment modalities to support soft tissue repair
- Please present your analysis of findings in written word format
- Please use the Harvard referencing system for every assignment
Evidence of Sports massage treatments
- 5 x clients (with different needs), given 3 Sports massage treatments each, including 5 x consultation forms/assessments and homecare advice.
- All pieces of coursework and assessments have to be completed before the exam.
- During the course: Please wear comfortable clothing suitable for massage (short sleeves and trousers)
What to bring
- Shorts and vest or t-shirt each course day
- 3 x large towels and 1x hand towel (preferably matching colours)
- A single flat bed sheet
- Clipboard
- Consultation form (the first will be provided)
- Notebook, selection of pens, highlighters- optional
- The file of learning materials- optional
Personal hygiene
- Hair band or clip if you have long hair
- Short, well-manicured nails without varnish
- Please cover any cuts or abrasions
- Jewellery is not permitted except for wedding band
- Everything has to be clean and freshly laundered
